In everyday laboratory work, you and your employees keep coming into contact with dangerous, harmful, toxic substances. In particular, contact with the formaldehyde (methanal CH2O), which has been classified as carcinogenic (new) since January 2016, is almost unavoidable in everyday laboratory work.
To help you comply with all policies and laws, and to protect your health and that of your employees, we offer formaldehyde sensor systems in our product portfolio.
These sensors detect formaldehyde continuously in the room air.
The VOGEL formaldehyde detector systems are modular.
In other words, we work with you to develop a solution tailored exactly to your laboratory, with the range of functions you want and need. The detectors draw attention to increased formaldehyde levels through freely adjustable alarm threshold values (0-10 ppm) and connected warning devices. A detector can monitor a room size of approx. 20 m2. This depends on the spatial conditions (note info sheet).
For optimal monitoring, mounting the detectors at a height of 30 cm above the floor is important. In addition, it must be continuously connected to the electricity in order to produce exact values.
